2023 Campaign Information

Dear Blackford United Way Supporter:

Over the past few years, donations to Blackford United Way have slowly declined. This impacts the financial support that we are able to give to local not-for-profit agencies that provide much needed services in Blackford County. Several small area United Ways have recently merged with larger United Ways. Knowing that a merger could impact the financial support that we have provided to local agencies for several years, your Blackford United Way Board of Directors is asking for your support now more than ever so we can remain an independent United Way that supports local agencies.

According to the 2020 Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed (ALICE) Report, the average State income is approximately $55,700 per household. The average household income in Blackford County is $42,200. 12% of our households earn below poverty level income, and 30% are ALICE households. This means that 42% of Blackford County residents struggle to pay for household essentials.

Please consider donating to Blackford United Way so we are able to continue to make decisions locally and support local agencies that provide essential services to those less fortunate in Blackford County. Your donation WILL make a difference. You may designate your donation to a specific not-for-profit agency that serves Blackford County.

Donations may be made via PAYPAL or mailed to Blackford United Way at PO Box 67, Harford City, IN 47348.

Thank you in advance for your support!
