Blackford United Way, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation serving Blackford County. The Blackford United Way raises and distributes funds to support many important programs in our community. We review each agency for responsible use of your donated funds.

The Board of Directors has developed guidelines and makes all final decisions on agency funding. Our Board members and campaign assistants are volunteers. The Board represents a diverse group of volunteers from retail, industry, unions, educators, professionals, clergy, and agriculture.

How are funds dispersed?

Each agency seeking United Way funds must complete the application process designated by the Board of Directors. Agency programs are reviewed for usefulness to the community. Finances are evaluated for need and fiscal responsibility, and are reviewed with each application. All agencies must deliver services without discrimination of race, sex, age, religious affiliation, or handicap.

How can you help?

Your support in our yearly campaign is needed. During the fall of each year, a major fund drive is initiated. We ask everyone to consider donating back to the community by supporting these programs.
